Verdicts and rulings 1

  1. Court ruled

A judge ruled his EPA unlawfully killed a $2.8 billion grant program.

Judge Richard Gergel voided the termination of the Environmental and Climate Justice Block Grant Program as “unlawful” in June, then in July ordered the EPA to resume paying after it argued no further action was required. The EPA says it is “working to comply.”

    He has two primary-residence mortgages.

ProPublica found a 2007 primary-residence mortgage on his Long Island home and a $712,500 one on a Washington home taken out in 2024. Experts say such overlaps are “often legal and rarely prosecuted.” His spokesperson said “EVERY ‘I’ was dotted.” Trump moved to fire Fed governor Lisa Cook over the same kind of accusation.
