Verdicts and rulings 1

  1. Court ruled

He ordered the Eric Adams corruption case dropped. The judge wrote, “Everything here smacks of a bargain.”

Judge Dale Ho wrote that it looked like “dismissal of the Indictment in exchange for immigration policy concessions,” and dismissed the case for good so it couldn’t be used as leverage. The acting US attorney resigned rather than drop it. Bove told the court, “There is no quid pro quo.”

Reported and alleged 1

  1. Alleged

A fired Justice Department lawyer says Bove floated telling the courts “fuck you” over deportation flights.

Whistleblower Erez Reuveni’s complaint says Bove told staff the department might need to tell the courts “fuck you” and “ignore any such order.” At his hearing Bove said, “I have never advised a Department of Justice attorney to violate a court order,” and that he had “no recollection of saying anything of that kind.”
